How to Maintain Your Oven After We Fix It

After we take care of your initial problem, there are a variety of measures you can take to keep your oven working and not need a second visit from us! Here are some tips:

Clean drips that go on the bottom as soon as possible! Don’t wait for spills to accumulate before cleaning in one go. This can be more trouble for you, and damage your oven.

Get a calendar and mark the months to clean your appliances. We find that it’s hard to keep a schedule to clean things regularly if we just tell you to clean 3-4 times a year. Mark the months where you are less busy and pick a day to clean everything at once.

Avoid putting aluminum foil on the bottom of the oven. Our oven repair experts know that aluminum will trap the heat and make the bottom melt and damage the oven.

Baking Techniques for Your Fixed Oven

If the trouble with your oven is that it is not baking evenly, then call us. However, there are some other tips you can use after we fix the problem with the oven.

Use stoneware – Have you ate at a Korean restaurant before? They use stoneware often because although it may cook slower, stoneware cooks very evenly. Stone distributes the heat in a balanced way throughout the food.

Adjust the baking temperature depending on the pan you are using – Different pans will bake at varying paces. example, if you are using a black pan, it would be better to lower the baking temperature by 25 degrees. This uses the same concept as wearing black shirts on a hot summer day. Black absorbs heat faster

Apply flour and nonstick substances as evenly as possible. This may seem obvious, but it really makes a difference if you can spread the flour nicely to make the appearance of the baked good perfect.
